Hometry began in 2011 when Derek Whitfield, a finish carpenter with a pickup truck and a reputation for showing up on time, decided to solve the biggest frustration he saw on job sites: the gap between design, materials and labor.
Homeowners were hiring architects, then scrambling to find contractors, then chasing tile deliveries that arrived two weeks late. Derek built Hometry to close that gap — one company that sources every material at trade pricing, delivers it to the site, and installs it with an in-house crew.
Today we've delivered over 640 projects across the United States. We've grown to a team of 24, but the principle hasn't changed: one point of contact, one timeline, and no finger-pointing when something goes wrong.
